How to Setup a Gift Card in Shopify

How to create a new gift card product to be used for Corso Exchanges. A gift Card is utilized when a  customer requests to exchange an item and there is a remaining balance that you wish to give the customer in the form of a store credit instead of refunding the remaining balance to their card used at checkout of the original order.

  1. Go into your Shopify admin
  2. Click on products > Gift Cards in the left side menu

     3. Select “Add gift card product” in the top right of the page.

     4. Add a title, description, media, and other information you want on the product. We recommend using a title that your team will recognize and is clearly         identifiable from your other gift card products.
     5. Scroll down to denominations and delete all of them. If Shopify requires that you have at least one then just set it to $1.00. 
     6. Next, set the product status to “Active”, but unpublished on any sales channels then save.

     7. In the URL at the top you will see the product ID at the end of the store address. Copy this ID.

     8. Paste the ID in the CREW platform. Settings > General > API’s.

     9. Make sure that after you have updated your API keys that you click the "Save Settings" button at the bottom of the page. If the "Save Settings" button is not clicked then your account will not update and sync.
